Size: 9ft 9in x 6ft 0in (296 x 184cm).

Antique Yomut Turkmen main carpet with the ‘Kepse’ gul design.

Circa 1860.

The carpet has a rich brown / red ground colour with the large Kepse guls in diagonal line of differing colours. The border is of the traditional curled leaf design. The long elem end panels are filled with classic Turkmen shrub designs. The ends also retain the original kilim end finish.

The carpet is in excellent condition with even wear with medium pile.

The carpet is suitable for normal domestic use.

The carpet has been hand washed and is ready for use.

A good example of a Yomut Turkmen main carpet.
