Senneh rugs are among the most accomplished of all Persian village rugs. The fineness of the weaving is often extremely high, combined with a fine materials and immediately recognizable group of designs. One of the repertoire is the floating medallion on a Herati medallion which we see in this rug. This is a very tactile rug, with velvety even pile, beautiful dyes, and an absolutely mesmerising medallion. The overall impression of this piece is of great quality and beauty. Professionally cleaned and in very good condition, with minimal signs of use or repair.
