Cotswold Oriental Rugs has dated this piece to the 1900s.
Circa 1900.
The rug has a traditional Tekke gul design with 3 rows of guls. The guls are large and rounded and the minor guls are very well drawn. Both ends are complete with the original end finishes. There is a clear band of abrash (change or variation) of colour at the top end of the rug, this is where the weavers have changed dye lot. It adds great charm to the rug.

The rug is of a fine weave with excellent soft wool.
The rug is in excellent condition with slight wear and good pile.
The rug is suitable for normal domestic use.
The rug has been hand washed and is ready for use.
