Antique Ersari Beshir Turkmen torba of unusual design.

Circa 1900.

A interesting example of Beshir weaving, the torba has a scarce design and excellent colour. These weavings are often considered to be dowry weavings as they were used to decorate the camel during the wedding procession.

The torba is in excellent condition with very slight wear and full pile, it has a very soft floppy handle. There are two fold lines, one at each end of the torba, it has not been cut.

Hand washed and ready for display.
