Cotswold Oriental Rugs has dated this piece to the 1890s.
Circa 1890.
This is an excellent example with a very unusual small scale boxed gul design to the field. This design is normally found on small fine weavings such as chuval and torba.

The elem design is small boxed lattice in varying colours creating a chevron design, the ends both retain original kilim end finishes.
The rug is very fine and has a soft floppy handle.
The rug is in excellent condition with very slight even wear and good pile. I have found one very small old repair that is finger tip size.
The rug is suitable for normal domestic use.
The rug has been hand washed and is ready for use or display.
