Antique Turkish Ghiordes prayer rug of classic design with superb colour and early date.

Circa 1750.

The rug is beautifully drawn with superb pastel colours through out especially the soft green in the field. The wide border design is very attractive. The rug is of fine weave.

The rug is in good condition with even wear and medium / low pile. There are a few scattered old re-weaves as one would expect with a rug of this age.

The rug has been hand washed and is ready for use or display. The rug is suitable for very light domestic use, but would make a superb wall hanging.
