Antique Turkish Ghiordes prayer rug of classic design with superb colour and small size.

Circa 1825-1850.

The rug is beautifully drawn with superb pastel colours through out especially the light blue in the field. The border design is very attractive. The rug is of fine weave.

The rug is in good condition with even wear and medium / low pile. Note the original long fringes.

The rug has been hand washed and is ready for use or display. The rug is suitable for very light domestic use, but would make a superb wall hanging.
