Description

Size: 5ft 8in x 3ft 0in (172 x 91cm).

Antique Western Anatolian Bergama region village rug, of medallion design.

Circa 1900.

A good rug with a large single medallion design with five eight pointed stars at the base. The rug has a soft overall colour palette with very nice blues and greens against the almost gold yellow.

The rug has even wear and medium pile, the rug retains short kilim end finish at both ends. There are a number of historic old small repairs and some well done re-piled areas.

The rug has been hand washed and is ready for use or display
