ANTIQUE #SA671733

18th Century Worcester First Period Sparrow Beak Jug

£30    $37    €36
This is an 18th Century Worcester first period Dr Wall porcelain sparrow beak jug and cover dating to circa 1770. It is transfer printed with the Fisherman and Comorant pattern onto soft paste porcelain.

It bears the cresent mark to the underside which is typical of this period.

Unfortunately the jug has a crack which has been glued. This stretches from one side of the ''beak'', over the handle and to halfway along the other side. The finial has been glued to the lid after a breakage, and there is restoration to the top of the finial. The inside rim of the lid has some chips.
