Antique Afshar Carpet

Description

This is a very charming antique Afshar carpet dating from around 1900. The carpet has an interesting diamond lattice pattern in a range of wonderfully muted shades of indigo, teal, cinnamon, red and ivory. This has complete selvedges, a little wear to the fringes and an even pile. A good example which would really add warmth and character to a room, it measures 213 cms by 158 cms.

Rams Head Antiques is a family business based in Wolsingham in Weardale where we have had shop premises for 28 years. The shop is generally open every Saturday from 11 am till 3 pm.
