Fine Kashan Carpet Rug 215 X 130

1900 - 1920
Description

This is a very fine quality Kashan rug from Central Persia. It has a wonderfully intricate design of scrolling vines within a raspberry field around an indigo medallion, all framed by ivory spandrels and indigo borders of palmettes and meandering vines.

The carpet dates from the early 20th century and is in very excellent original condition throughout.The pile is good, there are no repairs and the selvedges are original.

It measures 215 cms by 130 cms.

Rams Head Antiques is a family business based in Wolsingham in Weardale where we have had shop premises for 28 years. The shop is generally open every Saturday from 11 am till 3 pm.
