Antique Shahsavan or south Caucasian mafrash panel, with a scarce shrub design.

Circa 1890.

A good Shahsavan mafrash panel in soumak technique. The colours are soft pastels and all natural. The central design is of shrubs, the border is a classic Shahsavan bird design. The panel is probably from the end of a large storage bag.

The mafrash panel is in original condition with slight even wear and a few old repairs.

The mafrash panel has been hand washed and is ready for display.
