A very fine Caucasian Seychor Sumak village rug. Examples in this small format are extremely rare and sought after. This example, with its allover Harshang design is unusual having wonderful Swastika type elements in its composition. Its madder ground flanked by typical Seychor borders. Beautiful colour, just touches of faded fushine with places it firmly in the 19th century. One or two small faded repairs, very slight wear, corrosion in places, complete with beautiful Macrame end finishes and original sides. Circa 1875
