Description

Size: 6ft 11in x 4ft 3in (211 x 130cm).

Antique Caucasian Shirvan rug classic 'Bird' design.

Circa 1900.

A good example of the so called 'Bird' Shirvan, the rug has a large central medallion filled with stylized birds within a lattice. The rug is well drawn with good colour.

The rug is in excellent condition with slight even wear and good pile, there is some corrosion to the charcoal black as can be seen in the images.

The rug is suitable for normal domestic use.

The rug has been hand washed and is ready for use or display.
