Description

Gorgeous saffron field centred by an intricately drawn diamond medallion with a lustrous wool pile make this a special carpet. It would be ideal for an impressive vestibule, hallway or wide corridor. But in fact it is so jewel-like that it would adorn any decorative setting. In addition, there is a Persian date in the top cartouche of 1230 which equates to around 1910 in the western calendar. It is in excellent condition and has recently been professionally cleaned in my workshops. This carpet, woven by the Kurds of North-west Persia is a rare beauty with great decorative panache.
