Antique Doroksh village carpet from the Qainate district in the Khorassan region.

Circa 1880.

The carpet is an outstanding example of type, with classic colour and design for carpets from Doroksh. The wide border is of a finely drawn boteh design with the indigo field covered with a traditional heratti design. The carpet is of fine weave with very soft wool.

This is superb decorative carpet that will look at home with the finest furnishings.

The carpet is in excellent condition with slight even wear with good pile.

The carpet is suitable for normal domestic use.

The carpet has been hand washed and is ready for use.
