Antique Heriz Carpet

1920 - 1940
Description

This is a stunning Heriz carpet, originating from Iranian Azerbaijan. The Heriz is of traditional design, and features a madder field of stylised serrated leaves enclosing a central hooked, indigo medallion, framed by an indigo samovar motif border between flowerhead guard stripes. The Heriz is a good, room-size, measuring 333cm by 251cm, and is in excellent condition throughout.

Rams Head Antiques is a family business based in Wolsingham in Weardale where we have had shop premises for 28 years. The shop is generally open every Saturday from 11 am till 3 pm.
