Antique Heriz Runner Carpet

1920 - 1940
Description

This is a beautiful Heriz runner, originating from Iranian Azerbaijan. The Heriz is of traditional design, and features a madder field of nine hooked, polychrome medallions surrounded by stylised plants, all framed by an indigo border of repeat flowerhead motifs. The Heriz is a very useful size, measuring 295cm by 83cm, and is in excellent condition throughout.
