Antique Afshar Carpet

1900 - 1920
Description

This is a nice example of a quality Afshar carpet dating from the early 20th Century. The carpet has a warm colour palette with two stepped medallions within a madder red field. The field is filled with small, pretty indigo and ivory boteh and the carpet has deep attractive borders. It is in excellent condition with complete ends and selvedges and a nice even pile.

The carpet measures 182 cms by 134 cms.
