Tom Scott Antiques has dated this piece to the 1920s.

This is a great solution to a dressing table that needs to free stand, or a dressing table that is located in a window and you don't want to fill the window with a permanent mirror...you just close the lid!

Originally, this piece is known as a "coiffeuse" which would have been used for "wig work" hence the deep storage space. There is also a slide out surface in the centre above the drawer to give you additional surface. This is finished with its original gilt embossed leather top.

Useful piece and plenty of space below to sit at with a full size chair or stool.
