Nice quality French dressing table in walnut with marquetry and inlays, originally known as a ''coiffeuse.''
Great dressing table if you are looking for something to free stand in a room, or perhaps in a window but don''t want a permanent mirror standing in the way.
Useful storage to this piece, the lefthand side has double depth when the lid is lifted and the righthand side and single depth and a drawer. There is a further drawer and surface slide with an embossed leather for further surface area.
The mirror is original and in great condition, has been well protected.
The marquetry to the top is in good condition, as are all the inlays. The dressing table has a lacquered finish which is in good condition with just a few very minor loses.
Finished with a set of ormolu mounts and decorative drawer handles, also a working lock too.
Useful piece and not terribly easy to find these days.
