Description

This is a lovely example of a very fine antique silk rug dating from around 1920. The carpet has a very delicate colour palette with shades of light blue and indigo being used sparingly on a warm ivory ground. The carpet has a finely drawn central medallion within a field of scrolling vines and flower filled borders. A particularly fine feature is the raised relief outer border. The carpet is in very good order throughout and measures 119 cms by 78 cms. It would make a nice wall hanging or would look great on a sofa or chair back.
