Antique Turkish Isiklar village prayer rug of classic design with superb green to the field above the mihrab.

Circa 1900.

The rug has very soft wool and a very floppy handle. The rug is beautifully drawn with superb colours through out. Isiklar village is in the Konya region about 45km north of Karapinar.

This is a scarce rug of design unique to this small village, the border is beautifully drawn and frames the rug well.

The rug is in excellent condition with no wear and full pile.

The rug has been hand washed and is ready for use or display. The rug is suitable for normal domestic use.
