This is a charming and characterful silk Kayseri carpet dating from the late 19th century, circa 1880. The rug has pretty jewel colours to the multi floral design of the Herati field and is really antique in appearance with overall wear as would be found in many carpets of this age. This has a charming country house look and is a useful size measuring 161 cms by 123 cms.
