Description

This is a very attractive antique Kashgai Carpet with a most unusual diagonal geometric design to the central field. The carpet, dating from around 1900, has a lovely warm red ground with cinnamon, indigo, ivory and soft shades of coral and green in the design, in natural vegetable dyes. The wool is beautifully soft and in super condition throughout the carpet. The rug has a good even pile with no worn areas and has a good hand knotted fringe to one end with some wear to the fringe at the other.

The carpet measures 187 cms by 131 cms .
