The on laid decoration of birds amongst wisteria applied in shakudo , shibuichi , silver , gold and copper , the borders inlaid with phoenix birds and flowers , all supported on well cast elephant heads in bronze .Altogether an exceptional vase in excellent condition and of large size .Signed on a silver tablet.Don has been dealing in Meiji period art for 60 years , exhibiting in London , New York , Baltimore , Miami and Shanghai.
