Antique Persian Nain carpet, wool and silk on a fine cotton foundation.
Circa 1920/30.
The carpet is of fine weave with tight fine pile of lambs wool with silk high lights. The carpet has a velvet like feel.
This is a carpet of good quality that would grace any room.
The colours are superb, with an indigo blue ground with the design in beautiful soft pastel colours. The border is of a traditional design with an ivory ground. This gives the carpet a very soft pastel feel.
The carpet is in excellent condition with very slight wear and good pile, and has recently been hand washed.
The carpet is suitable for normal domestic use.
The carpet is ready for use or display.
