Antique Eastern Turkish Erzurum Prayer Kilim, Classic Design, 2nd Half 19th Century.

Size: 5ft 3in x 4ft 1in (160 x 124cm).

Antique East Anatolian Erzurum prayer kilim of superb design with excellent colour.

2nd half 19th century.

A good early example of a Erzurum prayer kilim with graphic traditional design, the kilim has a red field with a soft green above the mihrab. The design is considered to be an abstract tree of life, the field is filled with many primitive motives. The border is in a very soft apricot.

Good condition with slight wear and a few old re-weaves and small damages.

Hand washed and ready for use or display.

A superb display item.
