Size: 6ft 4in x 5ft 5in (194 x 164cm)

Antique Caucasian Kazak rug with Memlinc guls within octagons, the rug is of almost square shape.

Late 19th century

A good Kazak rug with a single vertical row of three 'Memlinc guls' in octogens. The rich madder field has a column of boxed eight point stars on each side. The ivory ground border is a very drawn version of a border that is normally found on rugs from the Lori Pambak region.

Superb colour and typical Kazak weave

Great condition, slight even wear with good pile.

Hand washed and ready for use or display.

The rug is suitable for normal domestic use.
