Antique Tekke Turkman Carpet

1900 - 1920
Description

This is a characterful Tekke Turkman carpet dating from around 1900. The carpet has a typical warm madder red colour palette and three rows of ten quartered guls. There is a little wear to the fringe but otherwise the carpet is in excellent condition with an even pile and complete selvedges. It measures 236 cms by 139 cms.

Rams Head Antiques is a family business based in Wolsingham in Weardale where we have had shop premises for 28 years. The shop is generally open every Saturday from 11 am till 3 pm.
