A good North West Persian 'Mazlahan' village rug from the Greater Hamadan Region.
Circa 1920.
The unique feature of the design is the bold 'lightning strike' effect outlining the large central medallion.

The rug is of floral rosette design with flower heads surrounding the central medallion. The ivory ground border of flower heads including a soft yellow is very attractive.
The rug is in good condition with even wear and medium pile. The rug is suitable for normal domestic use.
The rug has been hand washed and is ready for use or display.
