A fabulous early Indian Agra Jail carpet. massive all over sickle leaf and palmette design on classic scarlet ground framed by wide sky blue borders. These rare carpets have been amongst THE most sought after by decorators for over a century. This example is in great condition, has good pile with touches of top flight repair. A very heavy carpet suitable form areas of heavy traffic. Extremely clean and tidy. Probably the best example on the open market in Europe at present.
