Old Afshar Soumak Rug, Superb Original Condition, Circa 1920.

Description

Size: 6ft 8in x 4ft 8in (204 x 143cm)

Old South Persian soumak weave rug with lattice design.

Circa 1920.

A good example of an Afshar soumak weave rug, the rug has a diamond lattice design with a very well drawn reciprocal border. The ends have a chevron design and retain the original long tassel finishes.

Excellent original condition with very slight wear.

Hand washed and ready for use.
