Size: 5ft 9in x 3ft 11in (176 x 120cm).

Antique Central Anatolian Kirsehir village rug of traditional design with great colour.

Late 19th century.

A good example of a Kirsehir rug with a large central medallion and floral design to the spandrels. The outer border is of a traditional design and the inner stripes are typical of these rugs and are known as 'Sobokli stripes'. The colour palette is excellent with a very good soft green.

Good condition, even wear and medium pile, there are some old scattered repairs. The wool is very soft and the rug has a very floppy handle.

The rug has been hand washed and is ready for use or display.
