Size: 7ft 9in x 4ft 3in (235 x 130cm).

Antique Caucasian Kazak rug of five medallion design.

Circa 1880.

The rug has five latch hook medallions on a indigo blue ground, the field contains a number of animals and other tribal devices. The use of yellow in two of the medallions is of particular note, it helps give the rug a light feel. The borders are an attractive feature with the main border being on a ivory ground with a classic Caucasian design.

The rug is in good condition with even allover wear and medium/low pile. The are a number of old re-weaves. The rug is in very sound condition and suitable for floor use.

Hand washed and ready for use or display.
