Size: 8ft 10in x 3ft 11in (270 x 120cm)

Antique Persian Kurdish Long rug with medallion design and superb colour.

Circa 1880

A beautifully drawn rug with excellent colour, the rug has four complete medallions and a fifth one disappearing under the border at the top of the rug. The dark indigo blue field contains many tribal design elements including animals and flowers. The border in a soft gold is really beautiful and has an archaic feel to it.

The rug has some wear and medium pile, there are a number of old repairs and this is reflected in the price.

The rug has been hand washed and is ready for use, the rug is suitable for normal domestic use.
