Antique Kashgai Carpet Room Size

Description

This is a lovely old antique Kashgai carpet from South West Persia which dates from the late 19th Century. The carpet has a triple lozenge design and a very attractive colour palette featuring coral, indigo, war ivory and gold. This is quite finely woven and has a lot of detail. A particularly nice feature is the Lesghi star border. It is in good order with a low even pile and complete selvedges. There is a little wear into the fringed ends. The carpet has lots of character and a great antique look to it. It is a good size, measuring 294 cms by 212 cms.
