Japanese Silver Mounted Cloisonne Enamel Vase - Ando Company

Description

As part of our Japanese works of art collection we are delighted to offer this highly decorative Late Meiji/Taisho period, 1868-1912/1912-1926 , circa 1920's Cloisonné enamel vase, most likely manufactured by the Ando Jubei Company , this striking Solid Silver mounted vase has been decorated in both Musen ( wireless ) and traditional techniques and depicts a pair of vivid Yellow Flowers amidst shaded Green foliage, the decoration set upon a Sky Blue enamel background framed by the well patinated steel grey Silver mounts , the interior of the vase heavily counter enamelled in a brown finish , as suggested vases of this quality and type were produced by the Ando company during the early to mid 20th century , the vase unsigned although the Silver base mount is hallmarked with a Jungin pure Silver mark , a delightful piece of Japanese Cloisonné enamel that is sure to brighten up any room setting , or make a worthy addition to your Cloisonné or Japanese works of art collection .
