Size: 11ft 0in x 7ft 7in (335 x 230cm).

Old Red Afghan carpet with traditional design, this carpet has superb colour with a very good deep rich red and a deep indigo blue. The carpet retains the original flat woven kilim end finishes at both ends.

Circa 1920.

The carpet is in excellent condition with slight wear and good pile, the wool is really superb and very glossy. The carpet has an old tension problem that means that it is slightly 'bobbly' when on the floor, this will settle down over time if the carpet is on a good thick underlay.

The carpet has been hand washed and ready for use or display.

The carpet is suitable for heavy domestic floor use. Due to the problem with the carpet not sitting flat on the floor, the carpet would be very suitable for a snug room with furniture on top of it, or a holiday rental.
