Old Shiraz Region Rug, Tribal Design, Circa 1920.

Description

Size: 6ft 4in x 5ft 4in (193 x 162cm).

Old tribal rug, Shiraz region, probably by settled weavers from the Khamseh tribe.

Circa 1920

A good large size rug with linked medallion design framed by an ivory ground border. The rug is covered in tribal design elements.

The ground colour is an soft madder terracotta orange/red.

Very good condition with very slight even wear and good pile.

Hand washed and ready for use.

An excellent furnishing rug suitable for normal domestic use.
