Rare French Walnut Lift Top Dressing Table

1900 - 1920
Description

Very nice quality and rare French walnut and marquetry inlaid dressing table with lift top, circa 1900.

Great style to this piece and very functional, perfect if you're wanting to place a dressing table in front of a window, so you just lift the top to open the mirror when using it.

Lovely quality and condition, very elegant with the tapering legs finished with brass caps.

When the top is opened, you have the mirror to the centre, the left has a double depth storage area and the right has a half depth area.

There are two further drawers and a pull out slide for additional surface.

It can free stand if needed as the rear is finished and polished too.

Measuring:

29 3/4” or 76cm high

29 3/4” or 76cm wide

16 3/4” or 42.5cm deep

When opened up

42 1/2” or 108cm high

46 1/2” or 118cm wide

21 1/2” or 55cm kneehole height

I can arrange delivery to you, whether you are within the UK or require an international delivery service, please do get in touch…as a mainland UK guide, a delivery for something around the size of a chest of drawers within approx 150 miles will be £75 to you, but if you if you are in Scotland, Wales, Ireland or Cornwall please get in touch to confirm delivery costs!

Based in Uppingham, Rutland…having been in the business for 25 years focusing on mostly French and English decorative antiques and interiors from the 18th to the early 20th century, hopefully a collection you will enjoy browsing and hopefully re home some of my finds!

Viewing here in Uppingham is very welcome in my spacious barn studio but also I have a showroom based within the Uppingham Antiques Centre, which is well worth a visit and have a good lunch in town too!
