Mersham Manor Antiques has dated this piece to the Victorian era.
An excellent quality early Victorian wardrobe.

The double doors have arched panels and are richly decorated with beautifully carved corbels, with delicately carved flower motifs below and above the corbels.
The doors open to reveal a hanging space to the left side, and five mahogany slides to the right side, with three mahogany lined drawers below, so gives ample storage space. The mahogany slides can be removed and a hanging rail can be used instead of the slides.

The door to the left has brass, flush, sliding bolts, with a working lock and original key to the right door.
The condition is excellent antique condition, with minor expected signs of age and use. The left side of the wardrobe has marks, where at some point three hooks may have been added, and then at some point removed and the holes have then been filled. This is shown in the pictures and not that obvious.

The wardrobe breaks down into four sections. The cornice lifts off. The doors can be removed, leaving the two box sections, which then separate into two, these two pieces then lift of the base. All of the drawers and slides can be removed, leaving you with two box pieces, the cornice and the base section. Making it much easier to maneuver.
