A very large antique Mahal carpet from the coveted Ziegler and Co workshops. A top flight 19th century decorative carpet of monumental proportions. large scale allover design woven in pastel shades on very pale red ground. A scarce carpet prized by decorators for over 100 years. This example is in unusually good condition. Even pile, with no repair, with Just traces of use associated with its age. The quintessential English country house carpet that should appeal to the connoisseur.
