Description

This is an antique Kashgai carpet with a characterful look and beautiful subdued colour palette. The carpet, dating from around 1890 has a deep indigo field with an attractive lattice hooked lozenge design. It features a nice mid blue, coral and also ivory. The design has stylised flower and animal motifs. This is in good order with complete ends and selvedges and is ready to use. It measures 272 cms by 153 cms.

Rams Head Antiques is a family business based in Wolsingham in Weardale where we have had shop premises for 28 years. The shop is generally open every Saturday from 11 am till 3 pm.
