Description

This is a hand woven woollen Persian Heriz carpet runner which dates from around 1910. The runner has a very nice colour palette with a deep warm red ground and seven polychrome lozenges, all enclosed by deep indigo borders with stylised flowers. The carpet has a lustrous soft pile and is in excellent condition with complete ends and selvedges. It is quite a narrow runner and would therefore suit most long passageways. The runner is clean and ready for use and it's measurements are 324 cms long by 86 cms wide.
