Antique Moud Carpet Square

1900 - 1920
Description

This is an attractive Moud carpet from East Iran which dates from around 1920. The carpet is unusual in that it is quite square in shape, therefore ideal for a square room. It has a very nice colour palette with an indigo and ivory flowerhead filled field and warm red borders. The carpet is in excellent condition with ends and selvedges complete and a nice even pile. It is a really useful size measuring 198 by 203 cms.
