Size: 4ft 3in x 3ft 2in (130 x 97cm).

Antique Caucasian Kuba region rug with scarce design and very small size.

Circa 1890.

A superb example of a Caucasian Kuba rug, with a most unusual design. the rug has a weave similar to that found in Shirvan rugs. An unusual feature is the single narrow border. This is most likely a rustic village weaving. The rug has a rich earthy colour palette.

The rug is in excellent condition with even wear and medium pile, there is some corrosion to the browns.

The rug has been hand washed and ready for use or display.
