As part of our Japanese works of art collection we are delighted to offer this large Japanese Meiji period (1868-1912) bronze articulated Study of a Crab, this heavy and lifelike bronze Crustacean is a masterclass of Japanese metalwork engineering and consists of 32 actual moving parts including his large claws and protruding eyes, the bony shell and in particular the underside are finished to an incredibly realistic standard, a fascinating study for your Japanese Okimono collection.
