Description

This is a very beautiful Saroukh carpet which dates from around 1920. It has a warm ivory field with an intricate and finely woven one way design of stylised plants and flowers enclosed by very deep rich indigo flowerhead borders and triple meandering vine guard stripes. The carpet is in very soft lustrous wool and is in good clean condition with a very pleasing colour palette. There is a small depletion to one corner which can best be seen in first image, top right. This is secure and does not detract too much from the beauty of this carpet.

It is a generous room size measuring 410 cms by 310 cms and would bring great warmth and charm to any room.
