This is a fine and beautiful Lavar Kirman carpet from central Iran which dates from around 1920. The carpet has the most amazing intricately woven allover floral design with arching branching blossoms very much in the Kirman tradition. The colour palette is really stunning and eye catching with shades of pink, gold, blue and ivory all featuring.

Lavar (or Ravar) carpets are known for being particulary finely woven and for their beautiful designs. The carpet is in great condition with all ends and selvedges complete and has a good even pile. It is a good room size measuring 277 cms by 179 cms.
